What is an Equality Impact Assessment

An Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) is a tool for assessing and consulting on the likely affect of the way the Council does its business for different groups of people. They help Councils identify the particular needs of different groups and aim to reduce the likelihood of discrimination.
