Traffic Data

We measure, record and monitor transportation data for all modes of transport relevant to the Transport Strategy as set out in the Local Transport Plan. This includes:

• Automatic Traffic Counts
• manual surveys of vehicles and people
• speed surveys
• surveys of travel behaviour through questionnaires

We also gather information for the design of highway schemes, assessing new developments and maintaining the conurbation wide computer traffic model.
