Bridge Lifting Times
Scheduled Lifts
In accordance with the Poole Corporation Act, Poole Bridge will be lifted for the passage of vessels at the following times:
Mon – Fri Sat, Sun & Bank Holidays
07:30
9:30 09:30
10:30 10:30

Between 1 May and 30 September inclusive, there will be an additional ‘on demand’ lift at 19:30hr daily.
Unscheduled Lifts
In addition to the scheduled lifts, commercial vessels can, by law, request unscheduled lifts on demand. While these are discouraged, to maintain flow of road traffic, they can be numerous, especially during the summer.
Although we are unable to advertise the timings of these lifts we do try to limit them to on-the-hour or half-hour.
