Town Centre North Area Action Plan
The Town Centre North Area Action Plan will include the Kingland Road area to the east of the Dolphin Centre and the Sainsbury's site. This area is likely to undergo considerable change justifying the need for an Area Action Plan.
The Area Action Plan will establish the appropriate balance of uses across the site, an urban design framework and the phasing of development. The involvement of stakeholders and the community will ensure their views are considered in this Plan.
The timetable for the Area Action Plan is set out below:
- Initial Options - April/May 2006 - Public engagement was carried out on 6 options for regeneration of the Town Centre North area.
- Preferred Options - 13th October to 24th November 2006 - On Preferred Options for regeneration.
- Submission Document - Autumn 2008 - Masterplan submitted to Secretary of State
- Public Examination - Summer 2009
- Adoption - January 2010
