Strategy Directorate
Strategy Directorate comprises our Management Team which includes Chief Executive John McBride and five Strategic Directors; Jim Bright, Andrew Flockhart, Anne Newton, Peter Pawlowski and Jan Thurgood.
As a Management Team their role is to translate policies into practice and to guide the strategic direction of the Council to:
- Ensure clear accountability for services
- Empower managers and staff
- Take responsibility for the development of services
- Encourage lateral communication
Each of the Management Team are supported by a Personal Assistant.
The Unit also oversees the activities of Town Centre Management 
, Poole Tourism and Poole's Town Centre Regeneration.
