Local Development Framework - Town Centre North Preferred Options
Purpose
Following consultatuion on 6 Initial Options in April / May 2006, the Preferred Options set out a framework for the regeneration of the area to the east of the Dolphin Centre including the Sainsbury's site, Kingland Road Car Park, former NCP Car Park and Kingland Road Area.
Consultation
The Preferred Options for the town centre north area were published on 13th October 2006. The Consultation period ran to 24th November 2006. The consultation process included a series of walkabout tours and a second stakeholder event feedback from which will help to inform the next stage –the submission document. A video which sets out the preferred options and issues facing the town centre north area is also available to view individuals and organisations responded to the consultation making 427 different comments on various aspects of the Preferred Options. A sustainability appraisal of the plan was also consulted on. 17 representations were received to this. These representations are summarised in the document below.
