Supplementary Planning Guidance - Parking Guidelines
Purpose
This Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) sets maximum levels of car parking for different types of new development. Minimum and appropriate levels of parking for cycling, motorbikes and the disabled are also included. The SPG acknowledges new guidance in the revised national Planning Policy Guidance on Transportation (PPG13). It supplements parking policy T11 in the Poole Local Plan First Alteration (Adopted March 2004) as well as the Local Transport Plan for the conurbation.
Consultation
This guidance was issued for consultation from 30 October to 11 December 2003. A summary of the consultation undertaken is included in Appendix F of the document. A number of changes were made to the draft SPG following consultation and this SPG was adopted on 19 February 2004.
