Supplementary Planning Guidance - Travel Plans
Purpose
This supplementary planning guidance (SPG) deals with how Travel Plans should be incorporated in new development. Where appropriate, Travel Plans can ensure that future demand for travel to and from a site is managed in a sustainable way that reduces reliance on, in particular, single occupancy car journeys. This is as advised through Planning Policy Guidance Note 13 (Transportation). The SPG supports policy T14a in the Poole Local Plan First Alteration Revised Deposit Plan November 2001.
Consultation
Copies of the consultation draft were made available for inspection at: Public Libraries and Strategic Planning Services, Civic Centre (2nd Floor), Poole Dorset BH15 2RU between 5th August 2002 until 1st October 2003. Responses to representations received are detailed in 'Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) on Travel Plans - Public Consultation Summary and Changes, March 2003'.
