Dorset Heathlands Interim Planning Framework
Purpose
To provide a joint approach to the protection of heathland in South East Dorset. The proposed Interim Planning Framework seeks to ensure that there is no net increase in urban pressures on internationally important heathland as a result of additional development by setting out a mechanism for assessing applications and a range of measures to which acceptable develoment can contribute to mitigate its impact.
Consultation
Consultation was for 4 weeks from Monday 23 October to Monday 20 November 2006.

Copies are available on the websites of Poole, Bournemouth, Purbeck and DorsetForYou websites. A copy can be viewed at the Planning reception desk at the Civic Centre and at Poole's 10 local libraries.
Ammendment
