Local Development Framework Sustainablity Appraisal - Scoping Report
Purpose
A sustainability appraisal is an assessment of the environmental, social and economic implications of a particular plan and this needs to be carried out for every development plan document in the Local Development Framework. The basis of every sustainability appraisal is the scoping report, as this sets out the key sustainability issues to be taken into account in the appraisal following an assessment of other relevant plans or documents and critical baseline information. A scoping report has been done for the entire LDF and this will inform the sustainability appraisals of all development plan documents within the LDF. Hence, when looking at the sustainability appraisal of a particular plan, it will be important to consider it alongside the scoping report.
