Implementing Electronic Government 2006 April Return

Purpose

This is the Borough of Poole's Implementing Electronic Government (IEG) Return 2006 (IEG6).

We are required to prepare and publish it by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
The document
· sets out the role e-Government is playing in improving services and modernising our organisation
· reports the Council's progress against a number of areas including the 54 mandatory priority outcomes set out by ODPM in April 2004
· contributes to national monitoring against the national target
· is the final 'End of Programme Return' and summarises the progress the Council has made in delivering the whole e-Government agenda since 2001.

The Return has been prepared in line with government guidance by the Council's Service Development Manager and e-Government Improvement and Policy Support Officer. Approval has been sought from both the e-Government Member Steering Group and Portfolio Holder (on behalf of the Cabinet). The document will be submitted to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in April 2006.
