Planning Poole - Annual Monitoring Report
Purpose
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 introduced the legal requirement for local authorities to produce an AMR every year. The report must be based on the period 1st April to 31st March and be submitted to the Secretary of State by 31st December. The AMR for Poole was formally submitted on 21 December 2006.
It is a report containing monitoring information about Poole including the monitoring of housing delivery and forecasts of future housing development. The AMR also monitors employment, retail, retail and tourism development.
The AMRs are required to:
Review actual progress in terms of the local development document preparation against the timetable and milestones in the Local Development Scheme;
Assess the extent to which policies in the Local Development Documents are being implemented;
Where policies are not being implemented, explain why and advise of the steps being taken to ensure that the policy is being implemented.
