Implementing Electronic Government 2005 December Return
Purpose
This is the Borough of Poole's Implementing Electronic Government (IEG) Return 2005 (IEG5).
We are required to prepare and publish it by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
The document
*sets out the role e-Government is playing in improving services, meeting local and national objectives, and modernising our organisation
*reports the Council's e-Government progress
*acts as part of a national monitoring process against the 2005 target
The Return has been prepared in line with government guidance by the Council's Service Development Manager and e-Government Improvement and Policy Support Officer. Approval has been sought from both the e-Government Member Steering Group and Portfolio Holder (on behalf of the Cabinet). The document will be submitted to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister in December 2005.
