Planning Poole - Statement of Community Involvement
Purpose
The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how and when you, or your organisation, can get be involved in the preparation of planning documents and the consideration of planning applications in Poole. Planning policies shape Poole’s future – they determine where we live, work, shop and play, how we travel around the Borough and what impact we have on the environment. Some important decisions have to be made about what Poole will look like over the next 15 to 20 years, and we want as many people as possible to be involved in planning the future of Poole.
Consultation
Thank you to all those who participated in the preparation of the Submission Statement which was submitted to the Government Office of the South West in October 2005. This followed a six week period of public consultation undertaken between 4th August to 16th September 2005.
An independent examination into the SCI took place in December 2005 by the Planning Inspectorate and it was adopted on 16th February 2006.
Distribution
Hard copies of the Statement are available for inspection at planning reception in the civic centre during normal working hours (8.30am-5.15pm Mon-Thurs; Fri 8.30am-4.45pm), as well as Borough of Poole Libraries.
