Local Transport Plan

The Local Transport Plan has been prepared so that it supports the wider national and regional policies for transport.

National legislation has established targets to be set for meeting air pollution objectives and reducing road accident casualties. The Government has also issued considerable advice and guidance on the promotion of public transport and other alternatives to the car. The plan has also taken into account the numerous development plans that cover the area.
