Supplementary Planning Guidance - Shoreline Character Areas

The SPG supports policy NE23 of the Poole Local Plan First Alteration (Adopted March 2004) which seeks to ensure that development is appropriate to its setting within Poole's 14 shoreline areas. It provides descriptive / background information to identify the special character of each area. By identifying these special features it is intended that the guidance will help to secure development that respects its coastal setting.

The guidance was issued for a 6 week public consultation between 26th March to 8th April 2004
