Demonstrating a Five-Year Supply of Deliverable Sites for Housing

National planning policy requires all Local Planning Authorities to assess and demonstrate that they are able to identify and maintain a rolling five-year supply of ‘deliverable’ land for housing in relation to each Council’s strategic housing requirements. The Statement (attached) identifies and assesses the Borough’s supply of land for housing, from remaining sites allocated in the existing Adopted Local Plan, and from permitted sites where housing is under construction or is not yet started. It demonstrates that there is sufficient provision to meet housing requirements for the next five-year period from the base date of 1st April 2007.
