Employment Land Review Stage 1 Consultation
Survey of Local Businesses
To inform the Employment Land Review process, a questionnaire was posted to 1,200 businesses in Poole. The survey resulted in an excellent response, with 45% of questionnaires returned. The results from this exercise will be used to help create a picture of future employment land needs in the Borough.
The analysis of the information resulting from this survey can be viewed in the file attached to this section as 'Employment Land Review Survey Analysis'.
Stakeholder Event
'Meeting Demands for Employment Land and Premises in South East Dorset’
On Tuesday 24th October 2006, a stakeholder event took place at Dudsbury Golf Club near Ferndown, to examine the issue of the future supply of, and demand for, employment land in South East Dorset. The meeting brought together local planners and economic development officers representing local authorities in the area and representatives of the local business community. The event formed part of the Employment Land Review consultation process that will result in an assessment of the quantity of employment land needed to provide for economic growth over the next twenty years.
A summary of the outcomes from the workshop discussions in response to the questions set as part of the event can be viewed in 'Stakeholder Event Summary'.
