Core Strategy
The Core Strategy is part of Poole's Local Development Framework and will provide the overarching policy framework for development in Poole, as well as the context for other development plan documents, such as The Site Specific Allocations Development Plan Document and Town Centre North Area Action Plan.
The timetable for the Area Action Plan is set out below:
- Issues and Options - October to December 2005 - Consultation which informed the Preferred Options.
- Preferred Options - 11th April to 23rd May 2007 - Consultation on Preferred Options.
- Submission Document - 28th May to 8th July 2008 - Core Strategy submitted to Secretary of State.
- Site Allocations Representations - 1st August to 11th September 2008 - Consultation on Sites identified through the Core Strategy Submission Consultation as suitable for development.
- Public Examination - November 2008
- Adoption - May 2009
