Searching for an address
To search either type in the first line of the address, part of the address with postcode or just the postcode.

The search facility is not case sensitive so no need to type postcode in capitals.

You must put in a full postcode and make sure there is a space in the middlei.e. BH15 2RU

Click the 'Search' button at the bottom right to be taken to a list of results. There may be more than one page of search results, so click 'Next' to view the other pages.

Select the result you wish to view, you will automatically be taken to the Map Page.
Navigating Around the Map Page
- The Map on the right shows an arrow pointing to the address you selected. On the top left the full postal address is shown.
- View the map at different scales using either the Scale drop down menu on the top left of the map, or the Zoom In & Zoom Out links on the top right of the map.
- To navigate around the map click on the arrows framing the map. These allow you to move North, North East, East, South East, South, South West, West and North West.
- If you get lost on the map and want to return to the address you originally searched for, click 'Re-centre to this Address' at the top left of the menu.
- If you wish to search another address click on Search New Address below the full postal address on the left
- If you wish to view a bigger version of the map simply click Enlarge at the bottom right of the map.
Type of Map Layers
- Our mapping is provided by Ordnance Survey and the Aerial Photography is provided by Cities Revealed.
- Layers listed below the map can easily be turned on and off using the check boxes then clicking Show Selected Layers to refresh the map.
- 1:50000 OS Map - this coloured style mapping is better viewed at a scale of 1:80000.
- 1:10000 OS Map - this gray mapping looks like a sketch and shows the road names clearly at a scale of 1:5000.
- 1:1250 OS Map - known as Landline this is the most detailed and accurate of the mapping, it shows all features, such as pavements, bus shelters, building numbers, wooded areas, sloped land, footpaths and water.
Information Layers
- Census - This option allows you to view some of Poole's Age Population and Ethnic Group statistics.
- Councillors - This option tells you who are the local Councillors for the property you searched.
- Council Tax - This option tells you the Council Tax Band for the property you searched, the reference number, and the cost for the current year
- Planning - Details of Planning Constraints, Planning Policies and Current Planning Applications.
- Refuse & Recycling - Shows the days of recycling and refuse collection and the routes.
- Schools - Details which School Catchment areas the property you searched falls into.
- Transportation - This option details the bus routes, footpaths, railway stations and highlights the main roads in Poole.
- Street Furniture - This includes Street Lighting (Lamp Posts) and a link to the fault report form, as well as Litter Bins and Dog Bins.

Printing
- Print to PDF - At the top of the map a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) icon can be clicked to take you to a print template that will print as a PDF document.
- Print Template - The print templates have watermarks to cover our Copyright and license agreements with Ordnance Survey.
- Prints of mapping without Borough of Poole data are not available due to Licence Agreement Restrictions. For prints of OS Maps please contact Ordnance Survey.
