The Borough of Poole welcomes applications from all areas of the community.
The Positive about Disabled People
symbol represents our commitment to employing disabled people and we will:
- interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a job vacancy and consider them on their abilities.
- offer disabled employees an Employee Development Interview at least every 12 months to enable them to discuss what they can do to make sure they can develop and use their abilities.
- make every effort when employees become disabled to make sure they stay in employment. The Borough of Poole is successful in retaining employees with disabilities and values their contribution to the workforce.
- take action to ensure that all employees develop the appropriate level of disability awareness needed to make your commitments work. All employees are encouraged to attend training courses such as Embracing Diversity and Welcoming Disabled People.
