A Flavour Of Ancient Rome

Author Ben Kane will be conjuring up scenes of ancient Rome at a fascinating talk and book signing Poole Central Library on Tuesday 7 July.

Fans of historical fiction are invited to attend the evening from 6.30pm when they will be welcomed with Roman refreshments. Ben will be talking about his two novels on ancient Rome, The Forgotten Legion, and the recently published Silver Eagle.

Ben will discuss his inspiration for the books, how he carried out the research and the experience of getting them published. After the talk the audience will have the chance to ask him questions and chat about his writing. There will also be the chance to have your copies of Ben's books signed by the man himself.

The Forgotten Legion tells the story of three men and one woman bound in servitude to the Republic. Their odyssey begins in Rome, but ends at the very limits of the known world, where the Forgotten Legion fights against overwhelming odds.
