Rossmore Library is staging a live concert featuring leading hip-hop artists Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip.
The duo from Essex will perform at a special gig at Rossmore Library on Thursday December 11.
The concert is part of a nationwide tour and project to encourage young adults to use local libraries by illustrating the link between modern song lyrics and reading.
With a top 30 single and top 40 album, Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip are widely considered leading artists of cool, literate hip-hop and a full UK tour last year included festival appearances at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds as well as Bestival.
Fans of the pair will also get the chance to question the act ahead of their performance, where they will talk about their lyrical inspirations.
Cllr Peter Adams, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, Borough of Poole, said: "We are very excited to be a part of this tour. We hope the event proves to be a real hit with local people, inspiring young people to read more often for pleasure. This is a fantastic way of encouraging people to visit their local library and see the range of services and facilities on offer."
Tickets, priced at £6 with a £1 discount for library members, are now on sale at Rossmore Library and the Central Library in the Dolphin Centre
. Numbers are limited so early booking is advised.
Doors open at 7pm and an adult should accompany children under 16 years of age.
