Funday For All the Family

A fun-packed day of music, arts and activities is coming to Bourne Valley Park on Thursday April 3.

The Big Lottery Funday offers the chance for all the family to take part in sports, environmental activities and arts and crafts free of charge.

The event, to take place at the new-look Bourne Valley Park, off Herbert Avenue, has been organised by Borough of Poole with Dorset Police link will open in new windowand community organisations. It provides a great opportunity for Poole residents to explore the local area and try a new activity.

Visitors will get the chance to have fishing and football lessons, contribute to a giant mural or have a go at karaoke.

Other attractions include live music from local bands, environmental-related craft activities and a reptile and heathland exhibition.

Cllr Peter Adams, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, Borough of Poole, said: “Previous fun days in Poole have been a great success and with Big Lottery funding we are able to offer many more high quality activities for all of the community to enjoy. It is a fantastic chance to discover the new green oasis of Bourne Valley Park and to try your luck in the new fishing lake. I am sure that there will be lots of fun to be had by all.”

The event, supported by the Big Lottery link will open in new windowfund and Borough of Poole, takes place on April 3 from 10am to 3pm. It is one of many fun days taking place in Poole throughout the year.
