15 Nov 07Beat The Christmas Car Park Queues!
Borough of Poole will be helping to take the hassle out of Christmas shopping this year by repeating its popular Park and Ride service in December.
The service will run between the Creekmoor Park and Ride site, which is off the A35 Upton Road, and the Dolphin Shopping Centre
on each of the four Saturdays before Christmas – December 1, 8, 15 and 22.
And thanks to sponsorship from the Dolphin Shopping Centre, the fare is just £1 return for adults and up to two accompanied children can travel free of charge. Holders of concessionary bus passes may also use the service for free.
Shamrock Buses’
distinctive orange buses will leave the Creekmoor Park and Ride site every 15 minutes between 8am and 6pm.

The journey time is just 15 minutes and shoppers will be conveniently dropped at the back of the Dolphin Shopping Centre at the entrance to Falklands Square for direct access to the shops.
Buses depart from the same Falkland Square stop every 15 minutes from 8.15am with the last bus at 6.15pm, with plenty of space for all those shopping bags!
Cllr Mike White, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Transportation, Borough of Poole, said: “Feedback from previous years shows how popular the Park and Ride service is with shoppers at Christmas. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to the town centre and wish them an enjoyable shopping experience.”
For an extra 50p, passengers can extend their journey to Lower High Street, the Quay or Poole Hospital
by catching Borough of Poole’s ‘Route ONE‘ town centre bus service. This connects with the Park and Ride bus on Saturdays at the same Falkland Square stop. For a map or timetable telephone 01202 262202.
