What is your favourite place in Poole? Is it the world-class beaches, Poole Park or maybe Brownsea Island? Where do you take visitors when you want to show off your home patch?
Now you can vote for one of Poole's favourite places in a new online poll that can be accessed through boroughofpoole.com. The poll is being run in local council areas across the UK. It's a fun and easy way to get to know some of the borough’s best known attractions in more detail.

for your favourite from a list of ten great places and attractions in Poole.
You can chose from:
- Poole’s beaches
- Brownsea Island
- Compton Acres
- Lighthouse – Poole’s Centre for the Arts
- Poole Museum
- Poole Park
- Poole Quay
- Speedway
- Tower Park
- Upton House and Country Park
The Pride of Place poll is part of the Government’s ‘Connect to your Council’ campaign which aims to encourage citizens across England to access their local authority services online anytime, anywhere. Citizens can now use council websites to find out anything from planning information to applying for school places. Find out more at www.direct.gov.uk/mycouncil

The Pride of Place poll is part of a nationwide initiative, and can be accessed until November 30, after which the results will be released.
Cllr Neil Sorton, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Resources, Borough of Poole, said: “Poole has so many places and attractions in which we can take great pride. This poll gives us all a chance to show how proud we are to live in Poole, so I encourage everyone to go online and vote for their favourite from the ten places and attractions listed.”
