Val Mitchell, Carers Services Manager, Borough of Poole, said: “It is hard for people to imagine the commitment that carers make on a day to day basis. Many carers look after a friend or loved one 24/7, others try to balance caring with employment or bringing up a family. Borough of Poole supports National Carers week with a range of events to acknowledge the tremendous part these people play in contributing to society. The week offers them a well deserved break from their caring roles.”

A low cost sitting service is available, in partnership we local charity Help and Care, for those carers unable to leave the person they care for. To access the sitting service call 0845 4500 418.
