The study day, featuring talks from a range of professionals, will be held on 24 May from 10am-3pm in a venue near to Poole town centre.

Val Mitchell, Carers Services Manager, Borough of Poole, said; "Study days help people to understand the illness that their loved one has. It's a chance to get some information about the condition and find out what can be done to help. Carers can meet others looking after someone with a similar condition. Days like this help people feel that they are not alone. Knowing more about the disease can help people cope at a difficult time."

A range of health and social care professionals will be available to answer specific questions and a light lunch will be provided.

If someone is required to look after the cared for person whilst the carer attends the study day there are low cost arrangements available to those booking early. To book a place on the study day or discuss any aspect of caring, carers can telephone Val Mitchell on 01202 261174.
