People And Places Survey - Living In Poole's New Homes

Borough of Poole is inviting people living in new properties across the town to take part in a survey about their home and the area they live in.

The ‘People and Places Survey’ is being mailed to almost 2,000 households in Poole and will invite residents to answer questions about their home and the people living in it to paint a picture of their needs.

The short questionnaire will help Borough of Poole plan local services and amenities such as transportation, leisure, culture, education and social services.

Councillor Ron Parker, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Local Economy, said: “The survey has been designed to help the council to plan services by finding out who is moving into new housing within the borough. The information will help to make challenging decisions about future new housing developments in Poole that will affect the entire borough, so if you receive one of these questionnaires, please take a few minutes to complete and return it to help us to do this more effectively.”

The survey will target new developments including Poole Quarter, Shapwick Road, Dolphin Quays, Seldown Eco Village, as well as recent smaller one-off developments in Poole.

Follow-up research will be carried out with residents living in the new developments later in the year.

The results of the surveys and feedback on how the results will impact on local services will be reported in Poole News and online at www.boroughofpoole.com/opinions.
