Wish You Knew More About The Person You Look After?

Borough of Poole’s Adult Social Services has two free study days available for people who care for a friend or relative.

The first study day, on 25 April is about caring for someone with dementia and the second, on 24 May is about caring for someone with Parkinson’s Disease. A range of health and social care professionals will be at both study days and available to answer questions. Both days will be held in venues near to Poole town centre.

Val Mitchell, Carers Services Manager, said: “Study days help people to understand the illness that their loved one has. It’s a chance to get some information about the condition, find out what can be done to help and meet other people caring for someone with a similar condition.”

If someone is required to look after the cared for person whilst the carer attends the study day there are low cost arrangements available to those booking early. To book a place on the study day call Val Mitchell, Carers Services Manager, Borough of Poole on 01202 261174.
