29 Sep 05Poole Income Maximisation Day 2005
In light of recent increases in fuel charges do you need advice on making the most of your income or reducing your fuel bills?
An Income Maximisation Day has been organised by the Borough of Poole's Housing and Community Services on the Thursday 6th October between 9.30am and 5.30pm at the Dolphin Centre, Poole.
It is being held in partnership with other agencies and service providers including Dorset Energy Advice Centre, Energywatch, the Council's Revenue and Benefits team, Department of Work and Pensions and Neighbourhood Watch to raise awareness, provide help, assistance, advice and support to all members of the public on maximising their income and tackling fuel poverty.
Cllr Mike White, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Housing, Borough of Poole, said: "The rises in fuel prices may put more people into Fuel Poverty. This event will help everyone to find out how they can cut their fuel bills and also to find out if they are claiming everything they are entitled to."
If you would like information on this issue, qualified staff will be available all day in the Dolphin Centre in Mall One outside Bodyshop (below the library) to assist you. No appointments are necessary, just stop by.
