27 Jun 06Cadbury Recalls Seven Chocolate Products
The Food Standards Agency
has issued a warning to customers that Cadbury Schweppes
has recalled seven own-brand products due to possible salmonella contamination.
The products being recalled are:
· Cadbury Dairy Milk Turkish 250g
· Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel 250g
· Cadbury Dairy Milk Mint 250g
· Cadbury Dairy Milk 8 chunk
· Cadbury Dairy Milk 1kg
· Cadbury Dairy Milk Button Easter Egg 105g
· Cadbury Freddo 10p
All lots/best before codes are affected.
Although the risk is said to be small, Cadbury Schweppes
has undertaken a recall of these products as a precautionary measure and issued a press notice on 23 June 2006.
For those people who have one of the affected chocolate bars, they can return it to: Cadbury Recall, Freepost MID20061, Birmingham B30 2QZ for a voucher. For more details the helpline number is 0800 818181.

Jeff Morley, Team Manager in Environmental & Consumer Protection Services said: “Although the risk to health from eating contaminated food is likely to be low if you have any of these products you should not eat them and return them to Cadbury”.
