5 May 04Free caravan weight and safety checks
Dorset County Council Trading Standards Service in partnership with Poole Consumer Protection Service and Dorset Police are organising a FREE advisory caravan weight and safety check.
The checks will take place from 9:00am to 4:00pm on the following dates:-
Saturday | 8 May 2004 | at the Ashley Heath Checkpoint |
Sunday | 9 May 2004 | (located at the junction of A31 and A338) |

Saturday | 19 June 2004 | at the Puddletown Checkpoint |
Sunday | 20 June 2004 | (located just west of Puddletown on the old A35) |
The emphasis of the day will be education rather than law enforcement with advice being given on the safety of caravans and the importance of weight and load distribution. The event is open to anyone with a car and caravan who has made an appointment.
