The Dorset and Poole Childminding Association (DPCMA)
in conjunction with Poole Sure Start, are holding their second annual conference for registered childminders in Poole on Saturday 16 September 2006 between 9.30am - 2.40pm.
The conference, which is funded by the Borough of Poole, aims to raise awareness of the services, training, information and support available across Dorset and Poole for home based child carers and is an opportunity to share good practice.
Taking place at the RNLI
Lifeboat College's Conference Centre, the event will be opened by the Borough of Poole's Strategic Director for Education, John Nash and include a talk by renowned author Penny Tassoni, a stress busting and time management workshop and a craft workshop with a nautical theme.
Karen Loftus of DPCMA
said: "This is a really good opportunity for home based childminders to come and meet others in a similar position and to learn about the support, training and information available to them in a fun and relaxed environment. We have built on the success of last year's conference to make this year's event even better and we look forward to welcoming everybody on the day."
Registration fee is £5 which includes the conference information, lunch and a goodie bag.
