Mayor of Poole meets Designing Students

The Mayor of Poole, Cllr Mrs Judy Butt, opened the Bournemouth and Poole College Showcase of Computer Aided Design and Graphics. The Mayor spoke to every student from year 1 to year 4 of their degree courses and interacted with and viewed the many mediums used to design computer games, slick TV adverts, robotic animation and many other processes.

The Mayor was accompanied by Mr Roland Foot, Principal of Bournemouth and Poole College. Mr Foot was extremely impressed with the Mayor’s approach to the students and understanding of their work and very kindly offered a generous donation to the Mayor’s Charities, in recognition of Cllr Mrs Judy Butt’s invaluable contribution and commitment to promoting and supporting our highly talented young people in the community.

The Mayor of Poole, Cllr Mrs Judy Butt said “I am absolutely delighted to accept Mr Foot’s very kind offer, the College is one of our greatest assets, we send our future visionaries to this wonderful College and regardless of subject or level, each and every person is empowered and enriched and given the confidence and skills to succeed and provide leadership for further generations to come”
