European Election Results for the South West

The 2004 European Election results for the South West Region have been declared.

Regional Returning Officer was Paul Morris who co-ordinated the regional count and declared the final result at the Civic Centre in Poole on Sunday, June 13.

The seven elected Members of the European Parliament are:

Neil Parish - Conservative

Graham Booth - UK Independence Party

Graham Watson - Liberal Democrats

Caroline Jackson - Conservative

James Glyn Ford - Labour

Roger Knapman - UK Independence Party

Giles Chichester - Conservative

The overall turnout for the region was 37.8 per cent compared to 27 per cent in 1999.
