Competition Winner Praises boroughofpoole.com/libraries

Library website competition winner, Jennifer Stacey, is presented with her prize by Librarian, Janet Westcott.A great new on-line libraries area was launched this summer on boroughofpoole.com. Bursting with informative content and a bright look these new pages have everything you need know about Poole’s library service.  

 

To celebrate this launch a competition to win a selection of signed books was also run.  The winner was Jennifer Stacey, who received her prize at Poole Central Library from Librarian Janet Westcott. 

 

Jennifer said: “The new Library pages are is really user-friendly, and it's very easy to find all the information you need about the libraries. I particularly like being able to reserve books online link will open in new window.” 

 

Some of the great new features of the online library area are:

  • Book lovers - information for reading groups, suggestions for choosing your next book, and updates on latest award winners and book promotions
  • Your Local Library – pages dedicated to branch libraries where you can find out all the events and services available at your nearest library \n
  • Online enquiry form - a new way of contacting the enquiry service.  All enquiries are answered within a couple of days \n
  • Libraryland - an expanded children’s section, with details of all the activities and events that are happening in all the libraries.
