29 Jun 06Commit To Get Fit In Poole
Poole residents are being invited to Commit To Get Fit in July at Dolphin Swimming Pool and Rossmore Leisure Centre with a special introductory offer of 10 days of fitness for just £5.
Commit to Get Fit is a national campaign aimed at encouraging people to improve their fitness through exercise. Now in its 15th year the initiative is organised by The Fitness Industry Association (FIA)
and this year will raise funds for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
As part of the campaign, the Borough of Poole Leisure Services in conjunction with Sports & Leisure Management Ltd (SLM),
are offering the special introductory rates throughout July across a wide range of activities at Rossmore Leisure Centre and Dolphin Swimming Pool.
Councillor Don Collier, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for the Environment said: “This is just the first of many exciting initiatives planned as a result of the new partnership between the Council and SLM
. We look forward to welcoming customers, both old and new, to the centres to take advantage of these great offers and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.”
Karl Miles, Contract Manager at SLM
said: “This summer we want to encourage local residents to make physical activity an essential part of their lives. This is a great opportunity to try our health and fitness suite, exercise classes and swimming which are all included in this campaign. We hope that the people of Poole will take advantage of this new deal and commit to get fit”.
