1 Sep 06Poole Residents Asked For Views On Council Services
Over the next week 3,000 Poole residents will be selected at random and invited to tell the Council what they think about its services and what it’s like to live in Poole when they receive the 2006 Best Value Residents’ Satisfaction Survey.
The survey, which is repeated every three years to paint a picture over time, is part of a national Government initiative to compare and measure performance of all local authorities through the UK. The standardised questions will cover areas such as recycling, public transport, leisure facilities, contacting the council, the performance of the authority overall, and what it is like to live in Poole.
Councillor Brian Leverett, Leader of the Council, said: ”We always welcome feedback from our residents on the services we provide. This survey is essential in helping us better understand what we are doing well and where we need to improve and will help form the basis of our own action plan. This is also a valuable opportunity for people to have their say and we would encourage as many people as possible to share their views by completing and returning the questionnaire.”
BMG Research, an independent market research organisation, has been commissioned to manage the survey on behalf of the Council and the results will be available early next year once all of the local authority results have been released by the Department for Communities and Local Government. The survey findings will be published in Poole News and on the Council’s website, www.boroughofpoole.com/opinions
