1 Nov 05HRH Duchess of Gloucester to Visit Poole
HRH the Duchess of Gloucester will be calling at the Borough of Poole’s Sea View Centre as part of a visit to the town on November 2.
During her tour of the centre in Parkstone, HRH The Duchess will meet with Sea View staff and service users and be shown around some of the facilities including Calypso Café, Sensory Room and Art Studio.
Cllr Elaine Atkinson, Cabinet Portfolio for Community Support, Borough of Poole, said: “It is a privilege and an honour to welcome HRH The Duchess of Gloucester to Sea View. The Centre is a marvellous place offering so much opportunity to service users and it is with great pleasure we are able to show them off first hand.”
Liam McMahon, Facilities Manager, Sea View Centre, Borough of Poole, said: “Staff and service users are very excited at the prospect of a royal visitor and are looking forward to showing HRH the Duchess of Gloucester around. It will be a chance to show what a typical day is like at Sea View and demonstrate some of the many activities enjoyed by our service users.”
Earlier in the day HRH The Duchess of Gloucester will celebrate the Centenary of the Owen Carter Almshouses in Old Rope Walk in Blandford Road, Hamworthy.
