4 Mar 04New Chief to lead Cultural Services in Poole
The Borough of Poole has recently appointed Kevin McErlane as the new Service Unit Head to lead the Council's Culture and Community Learning Unit.Kevin is currently the Communications and Development Manager for the Museum and Archive Service at Reading Borough Council. He will be leaving Reading to join Poole in April.
Reading Borough Council is well known for its forward thinking and community involvement in the provision of a high class Museum Service. Kevin will bring with him the skills to enable the Council to further develop a full and exciting range of cultural activities to Poole residents and to work closely with partner organizations such as Lighthouse and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Kevin said: "I am really looking forward to working at Poole. It's a beautiful town and there is a lot of potential to enhance and develop the Arts and Culture by building on the fantastic work that is already being done."
Kevin will be key in guiding the redevelopment and changes at the Waterfront Museum and in taking plans forward to forge strong links between Poole Adult Learning and the Learning and Skills Council.
