Little People Pre-school Gain National Award

Little People Pre-School in Parkstone are celebrating being awarded a certificate of Quality Assurance which recognises their commitment to providing quality childcare.

The group will be holding a ceremony and tea party with staff, parents, children and special guests on Friday 25 February to mark their achievement. The Award will be presented by Annette Brooke MP and will also be attended by the Mayor of Poole Cllr Les Burden.

Annette White, Manager of Little People Pre School, said: "We are very proud of this award which recognises the efforts of our staff to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for Poole children."

The group earned the national stamp of approval by working hard on a rigorous accreditation scheme run by the Pre-School Learning Alliance which is supported by Poole Early Years Team at the Borough of Poole.

Councillor Tony Woodcock, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Learning, Borough of Poole, said: "We are absolutely delighted to hear that Little People Pre-School have achieved Quality Assured Status. We now have two Pre-schools and more than 45 childminders in Poole with Quality Assurance Accreditation.

"There are also many more pre-schools, day nurseries and childminders working towards Quality Assurance Accreditation, so very soon there will be even more childcare provision in Poole recognised by a national award."
