New Childcare Webpages in Poole

Parents and carers looking for up-to-date local information on childcare and early years in Poole should check out the great new childcare web pages on www.boroughofpoole.com/surestart.

This latest addition to Poole’s website provides useful information and guidance on topics such as choosing childcare, children’s activities, tax credits, nursery education funding, careers in childcare and Poole Sure Start Partnership.

The web pages are now live ready for the start of Parents Online Week on 4th October. Parents Online has been developed by the Government to help parents and carers understand the wealth of information and educational benefits that using the internet can bring. Anyone who visits our new area of the site throughout Parents Online week from 4-8 October 2004 can enter into a free prize draw to win tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at Lighthouse link will open in new window, Poole.

And as it is ‘Bust the Bug’ week at the end of October, parents and carers can request a free ‘Bust the Bug’ Pack and Nit comb by visiting the website or by contacting the Children’s Information Service on 01202 261999.

Those without access to the internet at work or home can still visit the website using the IT facilities in Poole’s Libraries. Alternatively you can contact our helpline 01202 261999 or visit the Early Years Team in person at Poole Central Library in the Dolphin Centre.
