22 Dec 04Farmers' Market Return in New Year
The popular Farmers' Market
which features in Falkland Square, Poole on Thursdays between 9am and 1pm, is set to return in the New Year after a two week break over the Christmas period. The last Farmer’s Market before Christmas will trade on Thursday 23rd December, and it will be resumed on Thursday 13th January 2005.
The well-established Farmers Market brings together local food producers with local consumers, and features the finest selections of organic and free range products including local meat, cheese, organic bread, pies, cakes, fruit, vegetables and plants. All stallholders breed, grow, develop, bake or bottle and serve their own produce.
Poole town centre manager
, Helen Crawford, said: "The Farmers Market is a well-established element of the weekly street market in Poole town centre, and works well to raise awareness of local food producers and their produce.
There will be no market trading on either Thursday 30th December or Thursday 6th January, but we look forward to welcoming the return of the farmers after their well-earned Christmas break."
