POOLE TOWN CENTRE MANAGEMENT LAUNCH 2001

The official launch of Poole Town Centre Management takes place on Wednesday 20 June 2001, at La Plaza Restaurant, Poole High Street, at 6.30pm.

Over 150 businesses have been invited to the launch including local retailers, landowners, and commercial businesses to hear about the plans for Poole Town Centre Management over the next two years.

Sarah Morgan, Chairman of the Town Centre Management Board, said: "We are delighted that tonight we are launching our business plan and action plan which sets out our priorities for Town Centre Management. Our business planning process is the result of nearly a year’s consultation with all of the Town Centre’s businesses".

The business plan sets out five key objectives including Safety & Security, Business Development & Innovation, Marketing & Promotion and Environment & Access. New initiatives on Sunday trading, retail crime reduction, e-Commerce and High Street improvements are just a few of the range of initiatives that Town Centre Management will undertake.

Brian Clements, Leader of the Council, said: "The Borough of Poole is delighted to be an active partner alongside local business to give Poole town centre a competitive edge. We look forward to seeing the plans unfold over the next two years".
