23 Mar 01POOLE RESIDENTS KEPT WELL INFORMED
The Borough of Poole is working hard to keep its residents informed about the services it delivers. On 29 March, two latest Council publications, Poole News and Poole's Performance Plan, will be distributed to every household in Poole with the Poole Advertiser. The Performance Plan, entitled 'Your Poole, Our Commitment' sets out the Council's targets for the coming year under the priorities of skills, prosperity, information, care and environment. It also examines how well the Council has performed over the last year.
An initial draft of the Plan was produced in Autumn 2000 to consult with local people on the setting of targets and priorities. Their feedback has now been absorbed into the final Plan, which also includes a handy A-Z of what the Council does and who to contact.
The latest edition of Poole News includes a special feature on the Council's 'Jules Jolliffe' campaign, which centres around the choice Poole people must make about the way their Council is run in future.

Cllr Brian Clements, Poole Council Leader, said: "These latest two publications are part of a continued commitment to keep Poole residents informed about the services we deliver and how we spend their money. By providing information in a format that is both easy to read and delivered directly to every household, we hope to reach as many of our residents as possible."
