Carers in Poole now have a new way to get support and information - by tapping into the Borough of Poole's website at www.poole.gov.uk/carersThe site has 12 pages especially designed for carers giving details of services that can be provided by Social Services and other local community organisations who have a special interest in carers. There are details of support groups, courses and services which will look after the cared for person while the carer takes a break. There is also an opportunity to e-mail any questions to a carers officer who will be able to give a personal reply.
Carers who do not have a computer at home may like to take advantage of free Internet access available through Poole's libraries. To book an Internet session telephone 01202 262421 or your local library.
