Late Night Shopping has Arrived in Poole

On selected late night shopping evenings and weekends in the lead up to Christmas, groups of carol singers from local churches and schools will perform at Falkland Square in front of Poole town centre’s 40ft Christmas tree. The first group will be singers organised by Poole Christian Fellowship, who will perform traditional carols on Saturday 27th November from 11am-12.30pm.

The first late night shopping evening in Poole town centre took place on Thursday (18th November) and was a huge success, with many retailers staying open until 9pm. Hundreds of shoppers took advantage of the extended opening hours and made a start on purchasing their Christmas gifts.

Poole town centre manager, Helen Crawford says, "With less than 6 weeks to go until Christmas, many local schools and churches have kindly offered their time to sing carols in Poole town centre, and this will be a great way of getting late night and weekend shoppers in the festive spirit. Shoppers are reminded that they can take advantage of free parking in Poole town centre car parks in the lead up to Christmas on late night Thursdays and on Sundays."

Any groups interested in carol singing in Poole town centre should call Zoe Thompson on 01202 701828.
