Full Sail Ahead Down your Way

The Full Sail Ahead Display designed to promote Poole’s Regeneration is on the move. Designed to inform local residents about all the developments and projects progressing in Poole, an exhibition is currently touring various locations in the Borough.

So far the display which includes information panels and a working model of the Twin Sails bridge has visited the Civic Centre, Lighthouse, Poole Central Library, Hamworthy First and Middle Schools and Carter Community College. The timing of the locations have also attempted to coincide with special events such as parents evenings so that the information can reach as many residents as possible.

In all locations the display has been received with great interest, especially the working model of the new Twin Sails Bridge, which has had a tremendous amount of use by people wanting to see how the actual bridge will rise.

Councillor Ron Parker, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Local Economy, said: "Keeping residents informed about all the developments that are happening now in Poole is a priority for us. Our hope is that the display and model will help make local people aware of how the new bridge and the other new developments are progressing. The responses and reactions that the display has received so far are extremely encouraging and we hope that as many local people get to see it and find out more about what lies ahead in Poole’s exciting future."

In the New Year the display is set to go to all the area meetings and in the run up to Christmas the display will be going to other supermarkets, leisure centres and schools in the borough.
