POOLE'S TELEPHONE NUMBERS ARE BEING RECYCLED

Residents of Poole will have the opportunity to put their old telephone directories to good use by depositing them in a number of recycling banks located throughout the Borough.

The new edition of the Yellow Pages telephone directory is being delivered to households in Poole from the 15th November 2000. Following the success of last year's Telephone Directory and Yellow Pages Recycling Scheme, 3 recycling bins have been allocated in Poole specifically for the retrieval of old directories.

The large orange recycling banks will be ready for use from the 13th November until the 22nd December 2000, and it is hoped that the residents of Poole will be able to make this year's scheme even more successful than the last.

Head of Consumer Protection Services, Peter Pawlowski, said: " Please help us to continue our success story from last year when we were able to collect 14 tonnes of paper for recycling."

The orange recycling banks are to be placed at the following sites:
· Sainsburys Car Park, Pitwines, Poole High Street, Poole.
· B&Q Car Park, Fleetsbridge, Poole.
· Somerfield Car Park, Canford Heath, Poole
